The cleric calls upon his god to grant him additional power for a short period. He/she will gain offensive, damage and hitroll bonuses, but she/he will suffer under low AC. This means that others have bigger chance to hit you. Also Frenzy can't be cast upon if you are already in Berserk mode. See also: Berserk.
